host, emcee, and…

As a side hustle, like most actors in NYC, I picked up some work as a ‘brand ambassador’. This illustrious gig includes such activities as handing out free samples or talking up new products for a specific brand. But quickly I was thrust into the spotlight under some wild circumstances. This skill set has now become my greatest superpower.

It was on the ground of the US Open tennis tournament in Queens, NY - when in the time Warner cable studios, tennis legend Jim Courier was late. No one was available to interview the up and coming US tennis star, Taylor Fritz. Cue, Pat Dunn. Handed nothing but a microphone and a few talking points on index cards - the interview went on without a hitch. No more than a few days later, I was strolling around the US Open grounds with my own camera crew and that same microphone.

I have also enjoyed multiple opportunities to perform outside of a theatrical environment as a singer performing rock, pop, jazz standards, and everything in between. My lifelong baseball fandom and dual Canadian citizenship also locked me in as the “Anthem guy” for the Yankees’ most recent trip to the playoffs in 2025.

I pride myself in my professionalism, composed nature and adaptability - give me the space, the mic and I promise you I will showcase the guest, the product and the event that needs the spotlight - on time, on budget, and with that special extra Dunn flare.

This led to numerous emceeing and hosting gigs throughout the sports world - including events for ESPN, emceeing game day events for the Kansas City Chiefs, former NY Giant’s star Victor Cruz’s ‘Halloweenland’ (an event benefitting the Boys and Girls Club of America) and motor racing with Fox Sports 1 hosting their All-Star race party in the infield of the Charlotte motor speedway. On the opposite end of the spectrum was “Beauty-Con” in New York, an event in which I emceed for the biggest names in make-up.
